Red banana drama is a Young Peoples Theatre and Film school created by Kerry Boorman. Kerry has an MA in Contemporary Theatre Practice and started red banana drama in 2002.
She is a member of The Actors Equity Union
Red banana drama is run by Kerry and other professional freelance practitioners.All practitioners have current DBS checks, and relevant qualifications. The company has a child protection Policy, Policy of behaviour and a Mission statement. All available to view.
Red banana drama is a process centred school where the emphasis is not on producing the next generation of actors but on using drama techniques, games, exercises and performances to create a fun and enjoyable environment where young people are encouraged, motivated and challenged.
Red banana drama is based in Dumbleton and its after school classes run from Dumbleton Village Hall. Kerry also works as a freelance drama practitioner under the name red banana drama in schools, theatres and youth clubs.
